I admit to loving all creatures great and small, with the exception of a few humans. I've always had a soft spot for k9's. A little husky took me by surprise 14 years ago and then she stole my heart.
lyrics
Husky Love
My best friends are hairy, they’re sloppy when they drink
To some they may look scary, they smell but they never stink
They love to run until the day is done and then howl at the rising moon
They lie in the sun, live their life for fun
They’re bound to sleep right through the afternoon
Their sapphire eyes – they glisten, they sparkle like shining stars
They hear but they might not listen and they love riding in my car
They might step on your toes they might lick your nose
They might get into your private space
They can sure annoy but they bring such joy when you see the smile on their face
A Husky love ain’t no puppy love – it’s the real thing way down deep
A Husky love is a cut above – it’s something that you’ll always keep
You can have your Cockapoo cuz there’s one thing I do believe
Well, it don’t get much better than a Husky love to me
They dig up half my garden, chase the rabbits an harass the squirrels
But they’ll stand down a monster mastiff and they’re a hit with the neighborhood girls
Dog sled teams are in their dreams when they’re running the Iditarod
She’s talking again speaking Siberian, you know the princess needs her massage
A Husky love ain’t no puppy love – it’s the real thing way down deep
A Husky love is a cut above – it’s something that you’ll always keep
You can have your Labradors, your Goldens, and your Pekinese
Cuz, it don’t get much better than a Husky love to me
Well, it don’t get much better than a Husky love to me
